High_Mayhem_Luke_Carr-11.Shayla_BlatchfordiNK oN pAPER is a bass, drum, and electronics duo from Milton Villarrubia III (drums and laptop) and Carlos Santistevan (bass and electronics). Both members play hybridized versions of their instruments with Milton using Midi triggers and Ableton Live on his drums to trigger samples and signal process while Carlos does live looping and a myriad of fx pedals on his custom upright electric bass.

The result is a duo that is drags rhythm through the mud in unimaginably glorious ways.

I setup soundcloud for highmayhem (high mayhemers can now upload tracks to it. Ask carlos for the password) You can also create your own account.

To embed your song on this site:
From your soundcloud song, click share, click more, click wordpress. Copy and paste the link  into your page or post in highmayhem.org. If you choose to customize your player, be sure to copy the wordpress link (at very bottom).  If you want the extra small player, you need to be logged into soundcloud as a paid user. Viola!

astronaut playing banjo

The new site has been up for awhile now, things are starting to settle in. I was looking through the access logs and noticed google had indexed an image of an astronaut playing a banjo, from high mayhem’s old site. People cannot find this image anymore, because the old site has been moved to highmayhem.org/old-site. So, I thought I would upload it here so google can re-index and people can get their banjo playing astronaut fix.
