High Mayhem is excited to welcome back to Santa Fe garage-punk prodigy Ty Segall!!
“He sounds like someone who’s absorbed the entire history of snotty guitar rock – not just the obvious benchmarks, from the Sonics to Ramones via the Stooges and Black Sabbath, but chaotic 60s freakbeat and lo-fi 70s proto-punk outbursts like the Electric Eels and George Brigman – and now can’t stop it spewing out, all at once, at ear-splitting volume.”-The Guardian
“Over the course of a near-hour long set, Segall lit his catalog on fire and reinvented his songs with ample layers of volume and feedback. He and his band screamed, slashed, and played within an inch of their lives.”
-Consequence of Sound
On tour with Ty Segall is The Meatbodies!
The band features Chad Ubovich who also plays in the Mikal Cronin band and Fuzz, and previously toured in Pangea.
“This might be one of the most perfect garage rock bangers since whenever it was that Thee Oh Sees last put something out. Every person involved in this deserves to be high-fived until their hands chafe and bleed.”
The evening opens with Santa Fe’s very own Alamo Sun! Playing their unique brand of dirt wave.
Location: High Mayhem Emerging Arts Studio, 2811 Siler Lane, Santa Fe NM,
