Audible Whispering 1/2 Quartet
Audible Whispering Half Quartet contrasts electro-acoustic into a sonic agreement that could sneak up right beside you with two hands full of calming auditory disturbances giving no consideration to genre. Distressed melodic, and if necessary, aggressively atonal, their instant compositions quickly determine a structural course for Gaspar Cabanes and Alex Neville to navigate. Aural vocals meet the kinetic percussive, where they introduce various glass tones and transduced metal scraping to digitally prepared tight ropes and safety nets. Audible whispering uses instruments they created, such as two percussive tables built into a turn table case and a PVC clarinet. They also use a one-string electric cello, a seven-string electric guitar, voice (both sampled through single sequence station) and sampled Rhodes piano.

Pitch&barK
maintains minimal instrumentation, with Lukas Carr on Bass and Voice, and Tommy Archuleta on drums. Shy of implementing any effects and sensitive to volume, Pitch & Bark is a rare and bare duo, bent on pulling depth out of very few ingredients. 2x2x2 (two by two by two) is Pitch & Bark’s current project, in which they are patiently building a collection of recordings, two tracks at a time. The first two tracks have been released online through Agitant Link, a production/record label founded by Lukas Carr. Pitch & Bark, can be heard and downloaded at www.agitantlink.bandcamp.com.
iNK oN pAPER
“… as if drum ‘n’ bass took a detour through an electro-acoustic free-punk Jucifer and had its downbeats addled or partly removed.”-Signal to Noise Review
iNK oN pAPER is a drum, bass, and electronics duo from Milton Villarrubia III (drums and laptop) and Carlos Santistevan (bass and electronics). After making music together as a rhythm section in numerous creative projects for 12 years, Carlos and Milton are now honing their craft in a duo setting exploring the vast possibilities of their respective instruments. Both members play hybridized versions of their instruments with Milton using Midi triggers on his drums to trigger samples and processing using Ableton Live and Carlos incorporating analog live looping and signal processing on his upright electric bass.
The result is a duo that is drags rhythm through the mud in unimaginably glorious ways.
