HARMONOGRAPH2x2
Dino J.A. Deane – LapSteel Dulcimer
Al Faaet – Drums
Joseph Sabella – Drums
Yozo Suzuki – Guitar

Harmonograph:
a simple scientific instrument that employs pendulums to create geometric images of frequencies.
musical intervals, like geometric proportions, always involve two elements in a certain ratio:
two string lengths, two periods (lengths of time), or two frequencies (beats per length of time).

For some time now I have been exploring the idea of a more nonlinear multidimensional approach to music
(Taiji Pole, Out of Context, Grand Cross Eclipse). This double duo of drums and strings with master improvisors
Al Faaet – drums, Joseph Sabella – drums and Yozo Suzuki – guitar is the next step in this exploration and my first
ensemble employing the LapSteel Dulcimer.

Location: High Mayhem Studio, 2811 Siler Ln, Santa Fe,
